Ella Escapade Hostel

The hostel was beautifully maintained with lovely decor that brought a sense of tranquility. The common areas were spacious and comfortable, making it easy for senior people like me to relax and unwind. Additionally, I found the hostel to be easily accessible, with well-maintained paths and ramps that made it convenient for me to navigate around the property.

If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation better for senior people, it would be to have more assistance available from the staff. While the children working there were friendly and helpful, having additional support for the needs of senior guests would have been appreciated.

I recently stayed at Escapade Hostel By Nomadic for 3 nights and it was the best hostel experience I've had in Sri Lanka. The location was quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of Ella Rock and the Bridge. I loved starting my mornings with yoga in the beautiful greenery surrounding the hostel. The staff went above and beyond by picking me up from the railway station. The dorms were spacious and had lockers available. a wonderful and clean hostel with friendly staff and a homely atmosphere.

The value for money was excellent, and the room wasnice and neat. The location was amazing, with fine views of rice fields and a river. The staff were helpful and took care of me when I fell ill. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat.

The breakfast selection could be improved with more variety.

We loved the amazing mountain view from the hostel's big veranda, perfect for chilling and meeting other backpackers. the fact that they provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner means you don't need to go anywhere else. the location is great, with easy access to Ella rock and the famous bridge. the owner and staff were incredibly friendly and took great care of us, even when we got sick. a perfect spot for nature lovers and hikers.

Nothing for me.

The owner of this hostel is incredibly helpful and makes you feel at home. The food is delicious and much cheaper than in town. The first pick up from Ella is free. The staff is absolutely lovely and provides tuk tuk rides and guides for expeditions. The view is stunning and the site is quiet. Great location close to Ella Rock trail and a short walk to town. Dorms are small but okay, good place to meet other travelers. Outstanding location, beautiful walk to town. Evening dinners and common spaces are very nice with a cozy atmosphere. Great for meeting other travelers.

I had a fantastic stay at Escapade Hostel By Nomadic in Ella. The location was amazing, surrounded by beautiful nature and with amazing views of the rice fields and river. Starting my hikes to Ella Rock and Little Adams Peak right from the hostel was a dream. The simplicity of the place was just what I needed, and I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

The only minor drawback I experienced was that the pillow cover in my room was stained. I quickly solved this by using a scarf to cover the pillow.

The location was amazing, nestled into the side of a mountain with views of lush farms and the train tracks. The hostel itself was a renovated farmhouse, oozing with charm and character. The dorm rooms were comfortable and clean, each with their own attached bathroom. The highlight of my stay was the family-style dinner in the evening, where I had the opportunity to connect with other travelers and share stories. The owner and staff were kind, gracious, and helpful. I was like I was staying in someone's home rather than a hostel. The peaceful and serene environment allowed me to connect with nature and recharge. I highly recommend this hostel for those seeking a tranquil and picturesque getaway.

Limited options for food nearby.

The surrounding natural beauty was breathtaking, making it perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. We enjoyed taking a dip in the cool waters of a nearby beach, where we had the chance to mingle with the friendly locals. It was a great opportunity for our children to make new friends and explore the local culture.

For dads, it would be great if the hostel had a small playground or recreational area for children.
